Content does not need to be religious and we actively encourage writing across different genres. All submissions should align with Islamic values and principles. Content does not need to be overtly religious, and we actively encourage creative expression across different styles and themes. All submissions should align with Islamic values and principles. Kalimah is a platform created to empower Muslim women and amplify their voices through creative writing and more. We publish original works of any genre by Muslim women. While Kalimah is an unapologetically Muslim space, we also accept submissions from women of other marginalised communities, as long as it adheres to our guidelines which can be found HERE.
