As a Muslim focused platform, we will only accept submissions that adhere to Islamic principles and values. Content does not need to be religious and we actively encourage different genres of writing, but it must not contain foul language, sexual content (unless informative non-fiction), anything NSFW or the promotion of anything that goes directly against Islamic rules. If you are unsure of anything please don’t hesitate to contact us, we are always happy to answer any questions!

Kalimah is a platform created to empower Muslim women and amplify their voices through creative writing and more. We publish original works of any genre by Muslim women. While Kalimah is an unapologetically Muslim space, we also accept submissions from women of other marginalised communities, as long as it adheres to our guidelines which can be found HERE.
